Eisner Awards 2012 : les Français bredouilles
Les prestigieuses récompenses Eisner Awards 2012 viennent d’être décernées au Comic Con de San Diego.
Ils étaient plusieurs Français et Belge à concourir dans la course aux Eisner Awards 2012 dans différentes catégories : Philippe Coudray et son « Toon Book » de l’Ours Barnabé (Benjamin Bear in Fuzzy Thinking), Émile Bravo et sa Belle aux ours nains, Nix avec Kinky & Cosy, Marzena Sowa et Sylvain Savoia avec Marzi, Renaud Dillies avec Bulles & Nacelle, Fabien Vehlman pour L’Île aux cent mille morts dessiné par Jason, et Jacques Tardi pour La Position du tireur couché d’après Manchette.
Hélas, contrairement à l’an dernier, quand Jacques Tardi et Juanjo Guarnido étaient distingués, les Européens repartent presque bredouilles de cette édition 2012 (seul Milo Manara via une réédition de ses classiques est récompensé). Les grands gagnants de la soirée de la Comic Con ont été Mark Waid (meilleur scénariste, meilleure série et meilleur one shot, notamment pour son travail sur Daredevil) et Ramón K. Pérez (meilleur album, meilleur dessinateur et meilleur design pour Tale of Sand, d’après un manuscrit de Jim Henson). Darwyn Cooke obtient quant à lui deux trophées, pour une de ses adaptations de Parker de Richard Stark.
À noter que Craig Thompson est couronné meilleur auteur complet pour Habibi et que Le Tueur de la Green River, récemment traduit par Ankama, repart avec le Eisner Award de la meilleure BD inspirée de la réalité.
